noticing some changes...

Already? It's not what you think. Although I have yet to notice a change in wasitline, I have noticed a dramatic change in my taste buds. Yeah! (the waist will follow, I am sure).
Last week I failed to prepare lunches. This makes it very, very hard to eat right while at work.  So I went to the caferteria and told myself to get something sensible. I settled upon a cup of minestrone. Veggies...broth...good choice, right?
Two spoonfuls in, my nose was crinkled. I couldn't stand it. It tastes like I was eating spoonfuls of salt.

I thought I was crazy so I had my coworkers try it. They said it was really, really good.
Huh.
Yesterday and today have been sweet tooth days. I've had a cravings that are harder to wrestle with than a grizzly bear. And OF COURSE, my boss has to bring in a big basket of cookies as a "thank you" today.  So, I went for the white chocolate macdamia nut...and to my surprise, it was TOO sweet. I had a 2nd, just to test the theory.
Sure enough...I was "done."
Two hours later, I thought I'd satisfy with a diet coke. Usually, I don't drink them but on occassion, they have been known to satisfy my sweet tooth without the calorie count.
Two sips and I was DONE. "YUCK!"  My coworker was glad to finish it for me.

So...the not-so-great news is that I'm finding myself cheating this last week. (eek).
The good news, is that I have also been increasing my veggie intake so much that I'm noticing...my body and my taste buds just don't crave what they used to. My "MIND" does...because it's used to wanting those things...but the body says..."not so much, Ang. Doesn't a strawberry sound better?"

mmmm...strawberries.
